Digital orthophotos

With the digital orthophoto (DOP) the central perspective of the aerial photography is transformed by calculations to a rectangular projection. The DOP has the geometrical properties of a map. It can be superimposed onto digital map information, spatial base data (e.g. a digital land register map) or factual data.

Services

Services

  • Generation of a digital terrain model
  • Generation of orthophoto mosaics
  • Tiling of the DOP e.g. according to the sheet line system of the basic map

Digital True Orthophotograph

In accordance with DIN 18740-3, a “true orthophotograph” is an orthophotograph in which visibly dead spaces are extensively eliminated.

We fulfill this requirement with a strongly overlapping aerial imagery and high-density modelling of the surface.

The information yield of a True Orthophotograph is significantly higher compared to a classic orthophotograph. The True Orthophotograph can exhibit up to 40% more image content than classic orthophotographs. Overshoot effects are avoided, while full-screen information content and measurement accuracy increase.

Since an RGB value can be determined for each spot elevation, the method is suited to automatic derivation of textured surface models.

Services

Services

  • Aerial imageries with increased image overlay (80% longitudinal/70% lateral)
  • Derivation of high density surface models
  • Derivation of textured surface models
  • Creation of True Orthophotographs

Aerial photographs of small areas

For the fast visualization of smaller areas drones are ideal tools!

The bird's eye view enables large-scale overviews allowing the recognition of existing structures, documents the ACTUAL status even for inaccessible locations, and delivers fast aerial maps and orthophotos.

Services

  • Generation of aerial photographs for smaller areas with drones
  • Current survey in support of planning
  • Mapping from the aerial photographs for planning purposes
  • Preservation of evidence and inspection of buildings, chimneys, slopes, etc.

Application example - use of drones

  • Large-scale overviews for planning purposes
  • Inspection of impassable terrain
  • Status acquisition for buildings, slopes, etc.
  • Inspection of bridges, etc.
  • Photographing archeological findings

Close range photogrammetry

Close range photogrammetry is used for objects from a few centimeters to around 100 meters in size.
This requires high-resolution photographs of the object, measurements with visible images or control points and possible the calibration data of the camera and objective.

Advantages

Advantages

  • Contact-free acquisition
  • High extent of information and documentary character of a photograph
  • Fast acquisition
  • Arbitrary exposure positions
